Intensive for Queerdos and Transparkles

Introductory Herbal Intensive for Queer & Trans Folks to explore herbal
medicine & the plant world in the middle TN gayborhood. We want to
nurture our queer and trans communities' capacity for self care, community
care, support, and healing. Join us in the rolling gay hills of the
"Middle TN gayborhood" the last weekend in August rolling into Sept, to
explore the plant world and how it can be woven into self-care and community
care. Since so much of the medical industry is hostile towards our humanity,
health and well being, we gotta learn how to support ourselves and each other.
Together, we can explore the many ways plants can support and celebrate our
full selves.

Camping:
Many group/individual
camping options available around the gayborhood. Bring your own camping
gear (tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, headlamp, eating utensils,
bowels/plates/cup etc.) Most of where we will be in the gayborhood uses
outdoor shitters, if you have questions or needs around this- let us know.
For those who don't camp
and will need help finding accommodations for their stay in the gayborhood, let

Food:
Breakfast and dinner are
prepared for the group. Please bring your own snacks and foods for
lunches/potential picnics. The best stores are in Nashville; as you get out in
the country, your options dwindle. If you plan to eat with the group
please bring food, money, or food stamps to contribute to group meals. Please
be responsible for bringing your own bowl, cup, and utensils. Our water
is live- if you have sensitive health or might otherwise be concerned about
drinking live water, please bring water from town, or at least jugs that you
can fill in town.

**Let us know if you
have specific food needs and need to cook your own food- you are welcome to
share a double burner propane stove with others who will also be cooking their

Cost
$300 $10-25/class
The cost of this course
is negotiable and is offered on a sliding scale... We ask that you
intentionally consider many factors including:
-the cost of other
similar herbal courses (ie: a similar herbal course in middle TN ran $300)
-your class background
and your means to accessing money/resources whether it be personal, family
finances, supportive friends, supportive johns, online fundraising, flying a
sign (gay oogles definitely welcomed), throwing a bake sale, or whatever your
hustle is
-those who can afford to
pay more, make this sliding scale option sustainable for us as teachers/organizers
and as a direct result are making this course accessible to others who can't
pay as much (teachers/organizers front their own money to make this happen),
-no one will be turned away
for a lack of funds (but its better if you bring something to trade)
-scholarship opportunities
